We are delighted to announce that we have had a good response to our 'Call for Artists'. As a result, a number of local artists have entered works, and some have also joined our group. Among these are Felicity Straker Graham, who last month won the Royal Society of Ulster Architects Annual Award for Art in a New Building, for her large porcelain installation in the foyer of the New Public Records Office in Titanic Quarter, Belfast.

As well as some photographs and some abstracts, Felicity will be exhibiting some small, framed porcelain pieces.

Another local artist who has joined the group and will be helping out on opening night is Christene Trueman, who is well known in the belfast art scene.

And of course our very own John Lynch was last month shortlisted for The British Institute of Professional Photographers Awards, for his landscapes. John has this week been busy taking new photographs of local landscapes and will be exhibiting these brand new works for the first time at next week's exhibition opening night (Thursday 7th june commencing at 6.30pm)

All in all, we have about 80 works to hang, and will have a lively mix of novice, emerging and established artists, and all at affordable prices for those interested in purchasing.

The group now has a small selection of works hanging in the exhibition space of the cafe at Woodlawn Nurseries, 129 Ballynahinch Road, Carryduff. A selection of fine art Giclee greeting cards is also on sale.

Temple Art Group will be holding an exhibition of this year's work in June 2012. The exhibition will open on 7th June, and run until 16th of June. The venue will be the studio above McBrides Fashions at Temple Shopping Centre. Entrance free. Refreshments will be provided on opening night. See local press for more details, or contact us using the contact details on this site.
